Coachair helped a family-owned business in NSW to identify and remedy issues with their HVAC through a fleet audit. Our customer was Busabout Wagga Wagga – a mid-size company with a growing fleet of 60+ buses which are used for public transport, school runs and private charters.
They are based in the major regional centre of Wagga Wagga, which is located halfway between Sydney and Melbourne.
Conducting a comprehensive fleet audit
The customer contacted Coachair because they were having issues with HVAC reliability. They wanted our team to examine their units and provide advice on how to help them perform better.
We sent National Business Development Manager, Eddie Furmancyzk, for a site visit to complete a comprehensive fleet audit. Eddie spent 3 days documenting the number of units, makes and models, as well as recording any issues or required repairs.
Following the audit, he discussed the necessary improvements with the customer and provided recommendations to help improve product performance.
Creating a cost-effective maintenance plan
The key recommendation was developing a preventative maintenance schedule. Regular servicing is not only beneficial for product reliability and longevity, it can also help save costs by ensuring issues are identified and addressed early.
The customer now has a Coachair technician attend the premises for 1-week every month to provide maintenance and repairs. Our technicians can service any HVAC brand, whether it’s our original design or a competitor unit.
While this customer previously purchased a range of HVAC brands, the superior after-sales support was referenced for their decision to choose Coachair exclusively in the future.
