New Product Development

Whilst continuing to provide enhancements to our current product range, we are now dedicated to developing and introducing new products into the Coachair market place. The need for both Hybrid and Integrated units has driven development of these products. Release of both options into the international market place will occur in 2011.

A new liquid crystal display dash panel will also be introduced providing a significant improvement on our current unit. This is also listed for release in early 2011. We are now dedicated to providing an environment where Coachair will again lead the way in the International Bus and Coach Industry.

    XS

    Coachair, one of the largest suppliers of air conditioners has specifically designed the 'XS Series" to suit the world's toughest operating conditions for the bus and coach industry.

    While still retaining the highest cooling capacity in the Australian market the XS unit has been redesigned to provide superior performance at a minimal expense.

    Low replacement costs and highly reliable electronic and refrigeration components provides the XS series with the lowest whole of life cost to the operator against other brands.

  • 5. Heater and Demister Unit

    The Heating and Demisting Units have been designed for ‘low floor’ type bus & coach applications.

    The Units provide heating of the driver’s compartment and/or demisting of the windscreen.

    The Heating and Demisting system should typically include the following primary components:

    • An under dash type Heating and Demisting Unit providing a heated airflow (Coachair supply).
    • A driver's dash Control Panel (Coachair or body builder supply).
    • Generic installation fittings (body builder supply).

    The Coachair Heating and Demisting system has the following key features:

    • Light-weight construction.
    • Standard operating voltage of 24V DC.
    • Efficient use of engine heat for heating requirements.

  • 6. Climate Control Unit

    The operation of the A/C System is controlled by an advanced electronic Climate Control System located in the Return Air plenum of the rooftop Unit. The location of the Electrical Panel provides an easy service access from the bus cabin.

    The CCC System was specially developed by Coachair for Bus & Coach air-conditioning applications.

    The microprocessor in the CCC Climate Controller precisely controls the operation of all A/C System components to provide ideal climate control via the ESP power board. It has the capability to be integrated into a bus multiplex system.

    Custom designed solid-state devices are used in place of conventional switching relays to control the power supply to the motors providing extremely reliable operation.

    The system is modular in nature allowing quick and easy replacement of components during servicing.
